Why is it important to abide or obey in our parents because we believe that without them we are nothing? They provide food and shelter for us. They buy cloths and everything we need for us. They prove to be there and protect us in all conditions no matter how much it will cost them but they still do it for our seek. The same way God will protect us and provide us everything we need to survive on this earth. We are to abide in God. Although our parents and family or friends could be there for us but they can’t do what God could do for us. Only God could make us more fruitful with good future.
John 15:1 1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.
Jesus Christ was telling the people, I am the true vine that gives life if you reject me you have no life but with me you have internal life. I am the way, the truth and the light no one can come to the father except through me. We cannot become what we want to become in this life without Jesus Christ. We need Jesus in everything that we do. We need to abide in him always. The father has permitting him to give life and good future for everyone who come to him. Under the vine we have hope, joy and protection.
For example, we see how tree vines look like; they provide a house for birds and all wide animals. The animals find it safety place to hide whenever it is raining or hot. Jesus Christ provides the same safety and protection for us whenever we go to him. Jesus Christ is willing to give us that safety because if he does not consider his kingship and become like us in order for him to save then he is more willing to do everything possible to save us.
Read John 15:2; He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.)
For example; every farm wish to see his vine has produce good fruits but when he walk through the famer and see other vine with it branches without fruits he cut them off from the vine so that it could have another branch to bear more fruits.
God does the same thing to us. Whenever we come to Jesus to be part of the vine we need to grow and produce good fruits so that other people could see than come to Jesus. In fact, God will cut us off from Jesus Christ one day if we are still holding on to who we are without allowing Jesus Christ to take control in our lives. However, every branch in Jesus that does bear fruit God prunes it. God prunes it means that God make the branch become holy, He sanctifies that branch and protect that particularly branch. Read 15:8, 16, This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples, 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.)
Read John 17:12While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.) Judas was one of the Jesus Christ disciples but he refuse to bear with vine and accept the fact that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation and internal life. Judas could have had bears much fruits as other disciples because of his intention and mind set, he was cut off from the vine. If we allow the devil to control us we will be cut off as Judas. We should always abide Jesus Christ in everything. There is hope, love, care, protection and salvation in Jesus Christ. We shouldn’t allow anyone such as friends, family or anybody to take us away from Jesus Christ never.
Through the word of God we become clean and holy. Jesus said to his disciples you’re clean because of the word I have spoken to you; they have abided the vine and prove to bear much fruits. We are to be like his disciples, they always look to Jesus Christ as their only source of hope and strength.
Since Jesus Christ is the only way to the father and Heaven, we must always abide in His words. The words is the Bible and following in His steps through Bible reading, prayers and faster. Through this we learn to love others as ourselves, care for them and supporting them as long as they need our help. Finally, without abiding the vine we are nobody, we must always abide in him no matter what. Jeremiah 29:11, for I know the plans I have for you; declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. If you continue to abide in God that is the plans he has for you.
